Paralegal Specialist
Nina Latif is a Paralegal Specialist bringing forth an extensive record of effectively providing legal support with court procedures, case research and handling legal correspondence. Nina’s interest in the justice system makes her a strong team player striving to effectively maintain working relationships with coworkers and clients by doing her part to make sure people are treated fairly. Nina serves as OLRCB's point of contact for all new case matters in coordinating with attorney advisors and supervisory attorneys to assist with case preparation to provide quality service.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting supervisory attorneys and attorney advisors with tracking deadlines to ensure legal documents are submitted in a timely manner.
- Performing administrative duties that include maintaining hearing/meeting/ pleadings calendars and sending our reminders to staff
- Producing hearing exhibit material binders and providing other hearing materials such as tent cards
- Requesting court reporter services and tracking transcript delivery
- Researching key witnesses and perform legal and background research when requested
- Review and request grievance package materials from agency/clients and coordinating with respective labor liaisons
- Researching relevant arbitrator decisions and arbitrator information for panel selections
- Compiling an internal database of background information of arbitrators
- Opening new client matters in E-Risk for attorney advisors
- Attending/note taking at arbitration hearings, litigation meetings, PERB hearings, and PERB monthly board hearings for attorney advisors
- Designated Continuity Coordinator (COOP) for OLCRB
- Maintaining emergency contact information and coordinating necessary training with HSEMA
